I see so many things that are an inspiration. I read all the magazines – each room styled within an inch of its life. But this feels different. It feels like real life. Go see a genuinely beautiful French country home near Normandy.
The photos taken by the owner, Christian of Le Banc Moussu blog are pure poetry – please proceed directly to the sublime.
There’s so much more. 15 years of restoration love at work.

Welcome to the somewhat decorative blog! It's all about cooking, gardening, design and DIY in, out and around our 150+ year old cottage in New Orleans. Since the house always has something going on with it (or falling off of it) I'm blessed with a never-ending supply of Web content to share. Thank you so much for loving my small country house.

Oh yes, very beautiful! So inspiring for sure. Thanks so much for your supportive comment – IT MEANS SO MUCH TO ME!! After I painted them, I couldn’t look at them for a week! It was an awful feeling…I’m familiar with those feelings as we’ve been working on our remodel for awhile now. Your blog is wonderful, can’t wait to read more! xoxoTrina
Just found your blog…looking forward to reading more.
ooooohhh now I want to paint my kind-of lame apothecary jars matte black!
